Footage is recorded to a local hard drive sized to your needs — typically a few weeks of continuous recording, and often longer when motion-based recording is used. Of course, we'll recommend the right storage capacity based on how many cameras you have and how long you'd like to keep recordings.

The cameras keep recording locally even if your internet drops, so that your footage is never at risk. An internet connection is only needed for the extras — such as viewing live footage remotely on your phone and receiving alerts when you're away from home.
