Your Local Melbourne Access Control Installer

There are dozens of national alarm and CCTV companies that resell access control as a side line. Precision Security is different — we are an Inner Range certified, Melbourne-based access control specialist, and our owner installs alongside the team.

Owner-led service. When you call 1300 766 110 you reach a real installer, not a call centre. Our owner Omar quotes, scopes and installs personally.

Inner Range certified specialist. We are not a generalist alarm company — we are a focused access control company in Melbourne working primarily with the Inner Range Inception platform.

Local response. Based in Campbellfield, we cover the CBD, inner east and west, the south-eastern industrial belt and the northern growth corridors. Site survey within 24 hours, same-day quote in most cases.

Australian-owned, Australian-installed. We back our work with a Victorian Private Security Business Registration, $20M public liability cover and ASIAL Corporate Membership.

Melbourne Industries We Serve

Inner Range Inception is configurable across every commercial environment. Here are the businesses we install for most across Melbourne.

Office Access Control

Office access control systems for single-tenant and multi-floor office buildings across Melbourne. Card, fob, app and biometric entry, with after-hours alerts and full audit trails.

Warehouse Access Control

Warehouse access control for industrial estates in Derrimut, Truganina, Dandenong South and the south-eastern manufacturing belt. Roller-door integration, vehicle gate control and personnel-door management on one platform.

Commercial Access Control

Commercial access control Melbourne businesses trust — from corner-shop retailers to multi-site operators. Inner Range Inception scales from 2 doors to 128+ on a single controller.

Multi-Tenant Buildings

Multi-tenant building access for strata-titled commercial property. Tenant-specific permissions, common-area schedules, lift-car control and after-hours visitor passes.

Retail Access Control

Retail access control for shops, showrooms and chain stores. Manager-level access, time-locked store opens and tamper-evident audit logging for cash handling areas.

Medical & Clinical

Access control for medical clinics, dental practices, allied health and pathology labs. Compliant audit trails, restricted-zone access for medication and patient records.

Door Access Systems for Melbourne Business

A door access system Melbourne businesses can rely on does three things: it controls who comes through which door, it tells you who came through which door and when, and it lets you change permissions in seconds without re-keying anything. Inner Range Inception does all three from a single panel.

Electronic Door Access System

An electronic door access system replaces traditional locks and keys with credentials — cards, fobs, smartphones, biometrics — issued and revoked from a cloud dashboard. No more lockouts when staff lose keys, no rekeying when employees leave, no shared codes leaking to ex-contractors.

Commercial Door Access System

Our commercial door access system installs scale from a single front door to 128 doors across multiple buildings. Each door can have its own schedule, user list, after-hours rules and integration with intruder alarm zones.

Bluetooth & App-Based Door Access

Mobile credentials with Inner Range Inception let your team unlock doors with a phone, smartwatch or both. No card to lose, no PIN to remember. Bluetooth and NFC supported across iOS and Android.

Credential Options That Suit Every Business

Inner Range Inception works with the credential type that fits your team, your budget and your security policy. Mix and match across doors.

1

Swipe Card Access System

Encrypted SIFER swipe cards — the modern replacement for cloneable 125 kHz proximity cards. Issued, revoked and audited from the cloud dashboard.

2

Key Fob Access System

Key fob access systems for staff entry. Lost-fob revocation in seconds, no need to rekey doors. Backed by encrypted Inner Range readers.

3

RFID Access Control

RFID access control with encrypted SIFER cards and readers. Stops cloning attempts that affect older proximity-card systems.

4

Proximity Card Access System

Migrating from a legacy proximity card access system? We can re-use existing readers in many cases while we phase in encrypted credentials.

5

Keyless Entry System for Business

A modern keyless entry system for business eliminates lock-and-key headaches. Use a phone, watch, card or biometric — whatever your team prefers.

6

Biometric Door Access

Fingerprint and facial recognition door access for sensitive zones. Pair with a card for two-factor entry on high-security rooms.

Upgrade or Replace Your Old Access Control System

Old card systems, ageing Tecom Challenger panels and standalone keypad locks all reach end-of-life. Replacing them with Inner Range Inception is faster and cheaper than most owners expect.

Tecom Upgrade

Replace your Tecom Challenger panel with Inner Range Inception. Most cabling, doors and even some readers can be re-used — we swap the brain.

Old Card Replacement

Ageing 125 kHz proximity cards are cloneable in 30 seconds with a $40 device from eBay. Replace your access control system with encrypted SIFER credentials.

Standalone Keypad Replace

Stop sharing PIN codes with every contractor. Replace standalone keypads with audit-trailed access tied to individuals, not to a code on a sticker.

Inner Range Inception — Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an Inner Range Inception system cost?

Pricing depends on the number of doors, the type of credentials (RFID, biometric, smartphone), whether you're integrating an alarm system, and the cabling at your site. Most small-to-medium business installs land between a few thousand and the low five figures all up. We provide an itemised same-day quote so you can see exactly what each component costs.

How long does installation take?

A typical 2–6 door office or warehouse can be commissioned in 1–2 days. Larger multi-tenant or multi-site installs are scoped during the site survey. Our team uses Inner Range's Commissioning Checklist to keep installs both fast and accurate.

Can Inception replace my old Tecom Challenger or other legacy system?

Yes — in most cases we can re-use existing cabling, door hardware and many readers, and just swap the brain for an Inception controller. This significantly reduces upgrade cost. We assess this as part of the site survey.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes. The Inception system is web-powered and the interface is responsive, so you can manage doors, schedules, users and the alarm from any modern browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. You can unlock doors, open roller doors and driveway gates, arm and disarm zones, and view a live audit trail from anywhere.

Are there ongoing software fees or licences?

No. The Inception software is built directly into the controller. There are no per-user licences, no annual software subscriptions and no PC-based management software to maintain. The only optional ongoing cost is back-to-base alarm monitoring if you choose to enable it.

Can it be monitored back-to-base?

Yes. Inception ships with on-board IP alarm communication and pairs with Inner Range's Multipath-IP system. We can also add a T4000 communicator for dual-path IP alarm transmission with 4G wireless backup.

What credentials can my staff use?

RFID cards and fobs (encrypted SIFER readers), fingerprint, facial recognition, smartphone Bluetooth/NFC, smartwatch, PIN code keypads and ANPR for vehicle gates. You can mix credentials and require two-factor for sensitive areas.

Do you service all of Melbourne?

Yes — Precision Security Australia services Melbourne metro and surrounding suburbs from our Campbellfield base, including the CBD, inner east and west, south-eastern suburbs and northern suburbs.
